FAQs
- How can I get a free educational kit for my child?
-
A series of free bilingual, multimedia kits have been developed by Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street®, in partnership with PNC Grow Up Great, to provide helpful tips and fun activities for children and families to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities.
You can download materials from the following kits here, or by visiting sesameworkshop.org:
- Sesame Street® “For Me, for You, for Later”™ Kit
- For Parents & Caregivers
For Educators - Sesame Street® “Happy, Healthy, Ready for School” Program
- For Parents & Caregivers

Recently launched kits are also available for free at any PNC branch or by calling 1-877-PNC-GROW (1-877-762-4769).
- How many free educational kits can I receive?
-
Kits are distributed one per household. If an early childhood education center requests a large quantity of kits, we can only provide 5 - 10 kits that can be made available to families through the center’s lending library. As noted above, kit materials can also be downloaded online.
- What is the Mobile Learning Adventure?
-
The Mobile Learning Adventure (MLA) is a traveling exhibit that provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the importance of early childhood education while they engage in fun activities with their children. At the beginning of the adventure, parents and children will receive an activity flyer with stickers. Once each activity within the MLA is completed, a sticker will be added to the flyer. The MLA consists of four activity stations:
- Touch Screen Kiosks: Two touch screen kiosks provide interactive and educational activities for children and parents and demonstrate that everyday activities are learning opportunities.
- “What I Want To Be When I Grow Up” Photo Station: Children dress up as the profession of their choice, such as an astronaut, cowboy, fireman, ballerina, scientist, or doctor, and have their images superimposed upon the appropriate background for the vocation. Following the activity the children receive a PNC Grow Up Great frame with a souvenir photo from the photo station.
- Craft Area: Children are able to use their imagination to create crafts.
- Giveaway Table: Parents and caregivers receive a free interactive, multimedia kit, educational brochures, activity books and crayons in a PNC Grow Up Great tote bag that will help demonstrate how to take everyday moments and turn them into learning opportunities.
- When will the MLA be in my area?
-
Access the calendar of events to see when the tour will be in your area.
